Operation
Splices in paper rolls:
For technical reasons part of the delivered paper
rolls have splices. The maximum number of
splices according to the ISO 1009 standard is for a
roll length of
− 87.5 m: 1 splice
− 110 m: 2 splices
− 175 m: 2 splices
− 242 m: 3 splices
This is independent of the paper type and surface.
To compensate for the loss of paper by these
splices 30 cm (approx 12") of paper are added per
splice. AGFACOLOR paper rolls have oblong
holes punched into the splices which initiates the
respective blank transport in the Printer.
Densitometer
The built-in densitometer above the dryer is used
to automatically measure the test prints.
