Terminal and Modem Settings
Modem Option Settings (for Port C Modems)
1. Connect the modem to a terminal (for example, the 715 BCT) with the
terminal speed set at 9600 bps.
2. Enter AT to get the OK prompt.
3. Enter the following string:
AT&F
This string initializes the modem to perform basic tasks with DEFINITY
AUDIX. When the DEFINITY AUDIX system boots up, it automatically
resets the remote modem initialization string with the value listed on the
System-Parameters Maintenance screen.
4. Refer to
Maintenance screen.
5. Enter the following value on this screen:
AT&F
6. Enable Auto Answer.
See the Paradyne user's manual for instructions to enable Auto Answer.

Generic Modems

DEFINITY AUDIX requires a modem (domestic or international) that supports the
features listed in
modem that includes these features.
