Restoring Config Data By Serial Connection
Power off MG(BRI) and disconnect it from the network.
STEP 1
Connect Serial Console to MG(BRI) by using a RS-232C cable.
STEP 2

Power on MG(BRI).
STEP 3
Activate HyperTerminal and set the following:

Bit per second:9600bps
Data bits:8bit
Parity:None
Stop bit:1bit
Flow control:None
Reboot MG(BRI). (OFF->ON)
STEP 5
At the moment that boot programming is starting (While "Starting MG-BRI boot pro-
STEP 6
gram" is being displayed for approximately five seconds), check the firmware name and the
version. And then press the ESC key.
After <Boot mode> Main menu is displayed, enter "1" (Configuration Data).
STEP 7
Open the config data that was saved in the procedures of Backing Up Config Data By Serial
STEP 8
Connection.
Assign the same settings by the configuration commands, seeing the config data. For more in-

After assigning the settings, save the config data by the save config command.
STEP 10
Enter "y" in the confirmation box.
STEP 11
Confirm that "Configuration data has been saved." is displayed in the screen, indicating the

config data is saved normally.
Exit the HyperTerminal by selecting [File] -> [Exit].
STEP 13
Power off the MG(BRI), and remove the cables.
STEP 14
<Confirmation of MG(BRI) Operation>
Connect the MG(BRI) to the network, and turn it on.
STEP 15
Check ON LINE LED lighten on, indicating that MG(BRI) is normally registered in system
STEP 16
after reboot. Use the DISD command in PCPro. For more information, refer to the Opera-
tions and Maintenance Manual.
Check that calls via MG(BRI) can be made.
