(a) Test of MG(BRI) before completing the initialization

STEP 1: Turn OFF the MG(BRI) by switching off the power switch on the rear panel of 1U-MPC.

STEP 2: Check whether call origination/termination can be executed on Emergency Telephone.

From the ISDN terminal (or TA + Analog Telephone) to ISDN line

From ISDN line to ISDN terminal (or TA + Analog Telephone)

(b) Test of case when WAN is faulty

STEP 1: Start up the MG(BRI) by switching on the power switch on the rear panel of 1U-MPC. Check initial-

ization completes and the MG(BRI) turns to ON LINE state.

STEP 2: Pull out the LAN cable from the Ether connector and wait until MG(BRI) detects the WAN fault.

(About 4 minutes)

STEP 3: Check whether call origination/termination can be executed on Emergency Telephone.

From the ISDN terminal (or TA + Analog Telephone) to ISDN line

From ISDN line to ISDN terminal (or TA + Analog Telephone)

Emergency Telephone is effective until the MG(BRI) turns to ON LINE state when turning ON the power

and while in initializing state.
