Service Conditions for MG(BRI) Emergency Telephone
1.
MG(BRI) is switched to Emergency Telephone mode on the following conditions:
When the communication between the system and MG(BRI) is disconnected and Health check timer
expires (approximately 150 seconds) in the MG(BRI).
When any fault occurs in the MG(BRI).
When MG(BRI) power down occurs.
When the system detects health check time-out (approximately 150 seconds) between the system and
MG(BRI), and the system requests MG(BRI) to reset.
When office data is deleted (all channels were deleted by the AMGIL command).
When AMGIL command specifies Emergency Telephone mode and executes resetting the MG(BRI).
2.
Whether to keep Emergency Telephone mode or to switch to operation mode can be chosen when starting
MG(BRI) by AMGIL command.
3.
When switching to operating mode from Emergency Telephone mode (in on-line state), specify the oper-
ating mode by AMGIL command and execute resetting the MG(BRI). (The "on-line" here means the con-
dition that the MG(BRI) has completed registration to the system.)
4.
Reboot request by AMGIL command is only effective when MG(BRI) is in on-line state. It cannot be
operated when power of MG(BRI) is off or Ethernet link is not established.
5.
Regardless of the setting on AMGIL command, MG(BRI) is switched from operation mode to Emergency
Telephone mode automatically when any failure is detected.
6.
Because Emergency Telephone is connected directly to the public ISDN network, it cannot call stations or
external lines of the system.
7.
All on-going communication will be disconnected when switching to operation mode from Emergency
Telephone mode because the MG(BRI) is rebooted after switching to operation mode by AMGIL com-
mand.
8.
SMDR billing information cannot be output for the calls of Emergency Telephone.
9.
Operation varies as shown below depending on the setting of the office data.
(a) When both LINE0 and LINE1 are assigned.
LINE1 cannot originate/terminate a normal call and cannot operate as an Emergency Telephone while op-
erating in Emergency Telephone mode (LINE1 does not perform registration).
(b) When only LINE1 is assigned
MG(BRI) cannot start up in Emergency Telephone mode, registration is performed and starts up in opera-
tion mode.
10. When MG(BRI) is in on-line state, current operation mode can be checked by DIMG command.
