General Service Conditions

ETSI-ISDN for Australia is supported by assigning the System Data (ASYDL SYS1 Index818 Bit6=1).
- ETSI basic features are supported.
- ETSI optional features are not supported.
- MG(BRI) cannot go over through other country's ISDN specification as shown in the figure below.

For ETSI Euro-ISDN (EMEA), assign ASYDL SYS1 Index818 bit6=1.
- MG(BRI) can go over through other countries, provided that the connected ISDN line complies with ETSI
specifications.

MG(BRI) occupies one group of virtual speech channel. The group can only be used as virtual speech
channel of MG(BRI) even when only one channel is assigned.
The virtual speech channel of MG(BRI) cannot coexist in the same group with the virtual speech channel
of other type of MG devices. Also the virtual speech channel cannot coexist in the same group with the
virtual speech channel of CCIS over IP using Internal PHC.

Virtual speech channel (B channel) can be assigned to Virtual PIR (Assign with ASYDL SYS1 Indexes
556 and 557).

Internal PHE must be assigned (ASYDL SYS1 Index 880 bit3=1) to enable SP-PHI function. For more
information on PHs including Internal PHE and SP-PHI, refer to Vol.1, Chapter 2, "2. IP Related Basic
Programming" in this manual.
5.
Line Equipment Numbers (LENS) information for control signal needs to be assigned for MPH and SP-
PHI by using the ALIDL command. (Available to assign only to virtual PIR.)
6.
Assign the system data (ASYDL SYS1 Index880 bit1=1, Index885 bit7=1) to enable the SP-PHI function.
