Install the new oil
torque.
TOOL:
Oil filter wrench
TORQUE: 26 N-m
Fill the crankcase with the recommended engine oil.
OIL CAPACITY:
3.5 liter (3.7 US qt, 3.1 Imp qt) at draining
3.7 liter (3.9 US qt, 3.3 Imp qt) at oil filter change
Install the oil filler cap.
Start the engine and let it idle for 2 t o 3 minutes.
Stop the engine and recheck the oil level.
Make sure there are no oil leaks.
Install the lower cowl (page 2-71.
ENGINE IDLE SPE ED
Inspect and adjust the idle speed after all other
engine maintenance items have been performed
and are within specifications.
The engine must be w a r m for accurate idle speed
inspection and adjustment.
Warm
up
Turn the throttle stop screw as required t o obtain the
specified idle speed.
IDLE SPEED: 1,200
filter and tighten it
(2.7 kgf-m, 20 I b f W
the engine for about 10 minutes.
