Apply engine oil t o a new O-ring and install it onto the
stepped portion of the water pump.
Install the water pump into the crankcase while align-
ing the water p u m p shaft groove with the oil p u m p
shaft end.
Align the mounting bolt holes in the water p u m p and
crankcase and make sure the water pump is securely
i nsta I led.
Install a new O-ring into the groove i n the water p u m p
body.
Install the water pump cover, t w o SH bolts and t w o
flange bolts.
Tighten the flange bolts t o the specified torque.
TORQUE: 12 (1.2 kgf-m,
SH
Tighten the t w o bolts.
Connect the lower radiator hose, bypass hose and oil
cooler water hose, then tighten the clamp screws.
Fill the system w i t h the recommended coolant (page
9 Ibf-ft)
COOLING SYSTEM
