SEAL
Remove the lower cowl (page 2-7).
Inspect the inspection hole for signs of coolant
leakage.
If there is leakage, the mechanical seal
and replace the water p u m p as an assembly.
REMOVAL
Drain the coolant (page 6-41,
Disconnect the lower radiator hose, bypass hose and
oil cooler water hose f r o m the water p u m p cover.
SH
Remove the t w o bolts, t w o flange bolts and water
p u m p cover.
Remove the O-ring f r o m the water p u m p body.
Remove the water p u m p body f r o m the crankcase.
