INSPECTION
Remove the PAIR solenoid valve.
Check that the air should not f l o w (A) t o
when the 12 V battery is connected to the PAIR sole-
noid valve terminals.
Check the resistance between the terminals of the
PAIR solenoid valve.
STANDARD:
If the resistance is out of specification, replace the
PAIR solenoid valve.
EVAP PURGE CONTROL SOLENOID
VALVE (California type

Remove the fuel tank (page 5-59).
Remove the bolt, then remove the EGCV/air intake
valve servo motor and bracket f r o m the frame.
Disconnect the EVAP purge control valve 2P connector.
Disconnect the air hoses f r o m the EVAP purge control
valve.
INSPECTION
Remove the EVAP purge control valve.
Check that the air should not f l o w (A) to
when the 12
control valve terminals.
