Session Management Commands

Use session management commands to display and clear administrative and network user sessions. This chapter
presents session management commands alphabetically. Use the following table to locate commands in this chapter
based on their use.
Administrative Sessions
Network Sessions

clear sessions

Clears all administrative sessions, or clears administrative console or Telnet sessions.
Syntax
clear sessions {admin | console | telnet [client [session-id]]}

console
telnet
telnet client [session-
id]
Defaults None.
Access Enabled.
Examples To clear all administrator sessions type the following command:
WSS# clear sessions admin
This will terminate manager sessions, do you wish to continue? (y|n) [n]y
To clear all administrative sessions through the console, type the following command:
WSS# clear sessions console
This will terminate manager sessions, do you wish to continue? (y|n) [n]y
To clear all administrative Telnet sessions, type the following command:
WSS# clear sessions telnet
This will terminate manager sessions, do you wish to continue? (y|n) [n]y

Clears sessions for all users with administrative access to the WSS
through a Telnet or SSH connection or a console plugged into the switch.
Clears sessions for all users with administrative access to the WSS
through a console plugged into the switch.
Clears sessions for all users with administrative access to the WSS
through a Telnet connection.
Clears all Telnet client sessions from the CLI to remote devices, or clears
an individual session identified by session ID.
