TRANSMISSION SERVICE
Type IV, Shaft Drive Transmission
Shaft Drive Transmission Disassembly, Cont.
19. Using a brass hammer or a press, drive the shaft out
front of output housing.
NOTE: Spacer shown is used on 1996 and early 1997
models only. Later models with extended hub gear do not
use a spacer.
20. Inspect center shaft bushing for wear. If necessary,
remove with the large end of bushing drive tool.
21. Remove all remaining seals and clean all parts
thoroughly.
