Statement introduced before Junos OS Release 7.4.
Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 9.0 for EX Series switches.
Set the source address of every SNMP trap packet sent by this router to a single address
regardless of the outgoing interface. If the source address is not specified, the default is
to use the address of the outgoing interface as the source address.
address
—Source address of SNMP traps. You can configure the source address of trap
packets two ways:
lo0
interfaces. The value
lo0
is set to the lowest loopback address configured at interface
Default: disabled (The source address is the address of the outgoing interface.)
snmp—To view this statement in the configuration.
snmp-control—To add this statement to the configuration.
Configuring the Source Address for SNMP Traps
or a valid IPv4 address configured on one of the router
indicates that the source address of all SNMP trap packets
