An S7900E switch installed with an OLT card can work as an EPON OLT. In this case, you can remote
configure STP/RSTP/MSTP for ONUs in ONU port view to remove loops between attached ONUs, and
you can also remotely configure RSTP for UNIs on an ONU to remove loops between UNIs and terminal
users.
Complete the following tasks to configure MSTP:

Configuring MSTP

Configuring an MST Region

Make the following configurations on the root bridge and on the leaf nodes separately.
Follow these steps to configure an MST region:
