This binding method is applicable to occasions where the registration of invalid ONUs is not taken into
consideration and the ONUs attached to the OLT are completely trusted. In this way, concern about
binding is completely ignored. In this case, to remove a binding, disable automatic ONU binding first.
Otherwise, the removed ONU will be automatically bound again only if goes online.
Follow these steps to configure batch ONU binding:
To do...
Enter system view
Enter FTTH view
Configure automatic ONU
binding
Neither batch ONU binding nor automatic ONU binding conflicts with the configuration of binding the
specified ONU to the specified ONU port. However, batch ONU binding conflicts with automatic ONU
binding.
Configuring the Management VLAN of the ONU
To manage an ONU through Telnet, make sure the ONU is assigned an IP address. Only the VLAN
interface corresponding to the management VLAN can be assigned an IP address. You can designate
the management VLAN through the command line.
The management VLAN interface of an ONU can obtain an IP address in one of the following two ways:
Through manual configuration of IP addresses
Through DHCP (with the ONU as a DHCP client)
