Yealink phones support several transport protocols for provisioning:
Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP)
l
File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
l
Hyper Text Transfer Protocol – Secure (HTTPS)
l
File Transfer Protocol – Secure (FTPS)
l
Note
: There are two types of FTP methods—active and passive. The phones are not compatible with active FTP.
You can specify the transport protocol in the provisioning server address, for example, http://xxxxxxx. If not spe-
cified, the TFTP protocol is used.

The following table lists the parameters you can use to configure provisioning protocols.
Parameter static.auto_provision.server.type
It configures the protocol the phone uses to connect to the provisioning server.

figured by the parameter "static.auto_provision.server.url".

Supported Provisioning Server Discovery Methods
After the phone has established network settings, it must discover a provisioning server to obtain software updates
and configuration settings.
The IP phone supports the following methods to discover the provisioning server address:
Zero Touch: Zero Touch feature guides you to configure network settings and the provisioning server address

via the phone user interface after startup.
PnP: PnP feature allows the phones to discover the provisioning server address by broadcasting the PnP
l
SUBSCRIBE message during startup.
