Connecting to a Printer

Your controller can connect to up to four printers through the printer
ports on the back of the controller. You use the standard Centronics
parallel cable that came with your controller to connect it to a printer
(fig. 2.22). The parallel port on the controller uses a 25-pin
connector. The parallel port on your printer uses a 36-pin connector.

To Printer
To connect your controller and printer using the parallel port
1.
Plug the 25-pin connector end of the parallel cable into one of
the parallel ports on the back of the controller (fig. 2.22).
2.
Plug the 36-pin end of the cable into the parallel port on your
printer.
3.
If you have more than one printer, repeat steps 1 through 3,
plugging into another parallel port on the controller.
Now that your computer, controller, and printer(s) are connected you
need to set your system up to print in its environment (Macintosh or
PC). Depending upon the environment, see either chapter 3,
"Macintosh Setup," or chapter 4, "PC Setup," for details.
