If you cannot complete any of the previous checkups, the printer has
a problem and you need to contact ENCAD support. If you complete
the previous checkups continue with the NovaJet general Checkup.

Locate a file which you know is good, such as the
harleyd.rtl sample file that comes with your ENCAD
software. If you are not networked, copy the file directly to
the printer. If you are networked, copy the file over the
network to the printer. If this fails, try sending the file
from an alternate computer.
If problems sending the file to the printer continue, there
may a bad connection on the computer or the network.

Try printing the file from several different applications
directly to the printer or over the network. If the file does
not print from one application but does print from several
others, it is probably an application problem. In this case
contact your application vendor for suggestions.

The printer's keypad works incorrectly. It locks up, does not
function as it should, or there is no display.

Check the printer's display for any message that
may indicate a problem.
Look over the keyboard for any visible damage.
Cycle the power on and off to see if the keypad
will resume functioning correctly.
Check the firmware to be sure it is loaded
correctly.
Make sure connections to and from the MPCB are
secure. If so, install a new MPCB to see if it
corrects the situation.
