Raster Mode

The Raster Mode options can be set through the PPD or the front panel.
This menu allows you to select the processing method used by the
controller. You can ensure that large or complex jobs will be printed
without interruption; while smaller, less complex jobs can take
advantage of faster processing methods. Options are Printer's default,
None, Quick, Total, and Smart. The factory default is Printer's default.
With the None option, the controller sends each band of data to the
printer as it is processed. With the Quick option, the controller processes
two bands of data before beginning to send the image to the printer. The
Total option directs the controller to process the entire image before
sending the job to the printer. With the Smart option, the controller
compares the time required to process data to the time required to print
the image. The job is not sent to the printer until enough data has been
processed to ensure that the print job will complete without interruption.

Print Speed

The Print Speed options can be set only through the PPD. This menu
allows you to choose how fast the printer makes each pass across the
output. Slower speeds allow more drying time for the inks which
reduces the chance of the ink bleeding together with the next pass.
The print head firing rate options are Printer's default (5,000 Hz),
Printer's Configuration (user's setting), Very Slow (3,000 Hz), Slow
(4,000 Hz), Default (5,000 Hz), Medium (6,000 Hz), Fast (7,000
Hz), Very Fast (8,000 Hz), Super Fast (9,000 Hz), Ludicrously Fast
(10,000 Hz).
