If you need to connect another computer to the controller port, skip
to the section on connecting to the desired port later in this chapter.
Otherwise, skip to "Connecting to a Printer" later in this chapter.
Connecting to the Serial Port
To use the serial interface, connect the computer and controller; then
make sure the computer, controller, and applications are using the
same settings.
You need a standard null-modem serial cable to connect your PC and
controller (fig. 2.18). The serial port on the rear of the controller uses
a 25-pin (DB-25) connector. The serial port on your PC uses either a
25-pin connector or a 9-pin connector.
