The print server software can log onto as many as four file servers
containing one or more queues. The controller automatically polls
the file server(s) for jobs in the queue(s). When a job is found, it is
printed and removed from the queue.
Note: The controller automatically turns the interface off if it can't
log on in five tries or if the internal list of file server names
doesn't have any entries in it.

Print Server Name

To function on a Novell network, your controller requires a print
server name (which is the same as the login name). The default
name is formed by adding a _PS extension to your PostScript
controller name with any of the 16 invalid characters (listed later in
this section) replaced with an underline (_) character, so your default
print server name is Accel-a-Graphix_CT4_PS. However, you can
select your own name as long as it follows Novell NetWare naming
conventions. This name must match the print server name set up on
the file server by the system administrator.
The print server name appears on your controller's start-up page. If
the controller's name is changed, you must change the print server
name on your file server to match. If you rename the print server,
remember that all except the following sixteen printable PostScript
characters can be used within Novell NetWare naming conventions.
space ( )
double quote (")
asterisk (*)
plus sign (+)
comma (,)
forward slash (/)
colon (:)
semi-colon (;)
If any of these invalid characters appear in the controller name,
substitute the underline (_) character when entering the print server
name.
