The Enable Menu

The Enable menu, PRINTER1:ENABLE, allows you to enable
(YES) or to disable (NO) the printer whose number appears in the
menu. The factory default is YES to enable the designated printer.

The HP Palette Menu

The HP Palette menu, PRINTER1:HPPAL, allows you to enable
(YES) or to disable (NO) the controller's HP format of interpreting
data. When this feature is set to YES, the controller sends HP palette
information to the printer at the start of every job. This information is
necessary for HP printers but not for the NOVAJET. The factory
default setting is NO.
Note: If you send palette information with the job, you can only
print a one-color black. For example, if the controller
specifies that a particular pixel is to be Cyan and Black, the
HP palette maps that to Black only. However, if you print on
a NOVAJET with the HPPAL set to no, a Cyan and Black
pixel prints. Thus, with the HP palette, you cannot do
process black.
