Charge roller
• Charge rollers are used for charging the photoconductor.
• As compared with the charge wire, the charge roller applies a lower voltage and thus produces a smaller amount of ozone. The main
body is not therefore mounted with any ozone filter.
• The charge roller is driven to follow the movement of the photoconductor.
Cleaning roller
• The cleaning roller removes toner stick to the charge roller.
• The cleaning roller is driven to follow the movement of the charge roller.
(b)  Charge corona control
• High voltage DC negative charge is applied to the charge roller. Charge discharged the surface of the photoconductor to become
uniformly charged via the charge roller.
• The charge corona voltage supplied from the high voltage unit is applied to the terminal of the charge roller of each color.
