Fusing Temperature Control
• The Fusing Roller Heater Lamp is turned ON and OFF to keep a set temperature on the
surface of the Fusing Roller.
• The Fusing Roller surface temperature is detected by using a thermistor that translates
the temperature to a corresponding electrical signal.
• If the Fusing Roller temperature becomes excessively high, the Fusing Roller Heater
Lamp is shut down.
• The Lower Fusing Roller Heater Lamp is not turned ON during a copy cycle. During a
warm-up cycle, both the Upper and Lower Fusing Roller Heater Lamps can be turned
ON at the same time.
• The temperature for fusing temperature control can be selected from among three
options (180, 190, and 200 °C) by using a Tech. Rep. Choice function.
