Removing the Dryer Over-Temperature Thermostat

IMPORTANT
The DRYER OVER-TEMPERATURE
THERMOSTAT does not automatically
reset after an over-temperature
condition. To reset the DRYER
OVER-TEMPERATURE
THERMOSTAT manually, press the
RESET BUTTON.
[1] Deenergize the PROCESSOR. See page 1-5.
[2] Lift the TOP COVER.
[3] Remove the WET SECTION COVER.

[4] Remove:
• TOP EXIT RACK
• DRYER RACK
• SCREW, LOCK WASHER, and WASHER
from the Old Style THERMISTOR
BRACKET or from the New Style
THERMISTOR/THERMOSTAT BRACKET.
[5] Disconnect the 2 wires from the DRYER
OVER-TEMPERATURE THERMOSTAT.
[6] Remove the DRYER OVER-TEMPERATURE
THERMOSTAT.
[7] Reverse the procedure to install a new
DRYER OVER-TEMPERATURE
THERMOSTAT and to assemble the
PROCESSOR.
