● No air in fuel system
Test procedure
Note
Only gold-plated contacts may be used when repairing the con-
tacts in the connectors of the fuel temperature sender.
– Connect vehicle diagnostic tester, and select engine control
⇒ P age 23
unit.
– Select diagnosis function "011-Read measured value block".
Engine must be idling.
– Select "Display group 7".
Indicated on display:
Note
The display zones may be shown one below the other or next to
each other on the display of the vehicle diagnostic tester.
– Check fuel temperature value in display zone 1. The temper-
ature value must correspond approx. to ambient tempera-
ture.
– If the value in display zone 1 is not plausible, check fuel tem-
perature sender and wiring to sender as follows:
– Exit diagnosis function.
– Switch off ignition.
Checking resistance
– Pull 2-pin connector -1- off fuel temperature sender.
