How to install the USB drivers

Make a connection between the Kona and your computer using a USB cable
Step 1:
(standard in-the-box item).
Power ON the cutter and computer.
Step 2:
Your computer will automatically detect the cutter.
Step 3:
When your are asked to connect to search automatically for software, select No, not
Step 4:
this time and press Next.
Choose Install from a list or specific location and press next to continue.
Step 5:
Browse to the folder with USB drivers you have downloaded from Mutoh's FTP.
Step 6:
Windows will search the hardware.
Step 7:
When working with Windows Vista or 7, a warning message will be displayed.
Step 8:
Ignore this message and press Continue anyway.
The software will be installed.
Step 9:
After the installation of the cutter itself, the USB serial port driver need to be

installed.

Perform the same procedure as for the Kona cutter.
Step 11:
If installation is completed successfully, the following text-balloon will pop up.
Step 12:

USB icon

As from the moment the drivers are installed correctly and there has been established a
connection between the PC and Kona, an USB icon will appear in the main screen. If not, the
USB drivers are not installed properly or the USB cable is not connected.
