Troubleshooting
Data is sent from the PC but the cutting plotter does not react:

Connect the USB cable.

Check if the Kona displays the ready message in the mainscreen.

Try to send tests from the Mutoh CutServer.

Reboot cutting plotter

Reinstall USB drivers

Parts of the design are not properly cut:

Reload the media after the tool is set into the tool holder.

Check or/and replace cutting blade

Check if knife tip can still turn freely in the knife holder. Clean knife holder tip -

Check if the knife holder is mounted correctly.

Check cutting force. 100gr is a good starting force. Force should never
5
exceed 140gr for cutting regular vinyl.
Check blade protrusion. Blade protrusion = vinyl thickness + glue layer. The

less the blade is cutting the backing the better the cutting quality
