Encoder

When you are in doubt that the X, Y or Z encoder still functions, verify this as follows:

Go to diagnostics mode 1 or 2
Refer to Diagnostics 1 on page 106
Refer to Diagnostics 2 on page 107
Press on the encoder button
Check if the values displayed changes as follows:
X value

Increases (+) when rotating the grit roller forward.

Decreases (-) when rotating the grit roller backward.

Y value

Increases (+) when moving the head to the left.

Decreases (-) when moving the head to the right.

Z value

Increases (+) when moving the pen/knife down.

Decreases (-) when moving the pen/knife up.

