Software Options and Configuration

The VALVE Key

Press VALVE to access software options that allow you move individual
valves. After you make a selection, the screen appears for 30 seconds
unless you press VALVE again or press CLEAR. For descriptions of the
five valves and explanations of their functions, see "Front Panel" on
page 2-4 and "Valves" on page 2-5.
The valve software options are described below. Use the valve selection
screen to select which valve to move. Then, you may choose how to
position the valve. The Enter LED flashes for all of these screens,
indicating that you can press ENTER to remove the screen.
To return to the first valve screen from any screen, press CLEAR. To
accept the current valve setting, press ENTER.
Valve Selection Screen
Press VALVE. The valve selection screen appears:
1=Return, 2=RBC, 3=Waste, 4=Collect,
5=Plasma, 6=All valves.
Press the number of the valve you want to move, or to select "All valves,"
press 6.

Return Line Valve
Press VALVE, then press 1 to select "Return." The following screen
appears:
Return Line Valve (now ________):
1=Close, 2=Open.
The screen displays "now Open" or "now Closed," depending on the
current position of the return line valve.

To close the return line valve, press 1.
•
To open the return line valve, press 2.
RBC Line Valve
Press VALVE, then press 2 to select "RBC." The following screen
appears:
RBC Line Valve (now ________):
1=Close, 2=Open.
The screen displays "now Open" or "now Closed," depending on the
current position of the RBC line valve.

To close the RBC line valve, press 1.

To open the RBC line valve, press 2.
