RETURN PRESSURE HIGH!
Decrease return flow scale.
Alarm LED is red. Pumps stop.
Probable Cause
Return Flow Controller return flow scale set too high
Blockage in the access/return line or needle
Buildup of pressure in the system caused by an alarm
condition or operator action that caused the centrifuge to
stop
Needle too small
– or –
Inlet pump flow rate too high
Internal system malfunction

CONTINUE
Decrease the return flow scale setting.
If the "RETURN FLOW TOO SLOW!" alarm appears at the end of the next Return phase, allow the Single-
Needle bag to empty, then decrease the inlet pump flow rate.
Press CONTINUE.
Check for kinks in or clamps on the access/return line or clots in the needle. Press CONTINUE.
Release pressure in the system according to the instructions on page 12-55.
Lower the inlet pump flow rate.
Note the alarm message. Press CONTINUE.
If the alarm recurs, discontinue the procedure. Press CHANGE MODE, then press 4 to select "Rinseback." To
override the alarm during Rinseback mode, press CONTINUE. Notify a qualified service technician of the alarm
message.
This alarm occurs only during a Single-Needle Run mode, usually after
the centrifuge suddenly stops, when pressure in the return pressure
sensor measures above the specified limit.
Note: If you get repeated Single-Needle alarms, see "Repeated
Single-Needle Alarms" on page 12-2.
