Note: If you do not end the Run when the End of Run
screen appears, the pumps and centrifuge stop after
10 minutes. "PAUSED" appears in the lower right-hand
corner of the screen:
Clamp access. Open access saline.
Please wait.
The Spectra system delays the start of Rinseback to ensure
an adequate pressure drop in the system. To continue the
procedure, press CONTINUE:
Clamp access. Open access saline.
Press Continue to Rinseback

Dual-Needle procedures: Close the pinch clamp on the access line.
Single-Needle procedures: Close the pinch clamp on the access line
between the "Y" manifold and the access manifold.

Open the roller clamp on the access saline line.
Warning: DO NOT disconnect the needle in a Single-
Needle procedure until the Rinseback operation is complete.

Press CONTINUE.

ELP procedures: The following screen appears:
Rinseback: Collecting
The Spectra system continues to collect platelets until one of the
following events occurs:
PAUSED
The Spectra system skips continued platelet collection if the collect
valve is in the return position (during a spillover, for example) or if
the centrifuge stops before Rinseback mode.
LRS and LRST procedures: The Spectra system monitors the
procedure for events that might cause WBC contamination. If none
of these events occur during the procedure, one of the following
screens appears:
The Spectra version 5.1 screen:
Label LRS product as
<10E6 WBC content.
Rinse.
The CCM detects that the concentration is too low to collect
A spillover occurs
The system processes 50 mL of inlet volume
Press CLEAR
