The following screen appears:
Clamp access line and access saline.
Press CONTINUE to start Alarm Tests.
All procedures except Single-Needle ELP, LRS, and LRST: Close
the white pinch clamps on the access and return lines near the
needle connections. Close the roller clamp on the access saline line.
Single-Needle ELP, LRS, and LRST procedures only: Close the
white pinch clamp on the needle line between the access/return
needle and the "Y" manifold. Close the roller clamp on the access
saline line.

Press CONTINUE.

The Spectra system performs the tests in order. In each test, the
system moves valves and changes pump flow rates to create a
specific alarm condition. If the correct alarm occurs when the alarm
limit is reached, the Spectra system proceeds to the next alarm test.
If the correct alarm is not generated, the test fails and the following
screen appears:
ALARM TEST FAILED!
Press CONTINUE to retry alarm tests.
See "ALARM TEST FAILED!" on page 12-19 for possible causes of
and actions to remedy this alarm. To restart the alarm tests, press
CONTINUE.

Access Pressure Sensor Alarm Test
The following screen appears:
Testing Access Pressure Low alarm.
This test checks the operation of the access pressure sensor and detection
circuit. The system uses the inlet and AC pumps to create an alarm
condition.
When the sensor and detection circuit detect that the access pressure low
limit is reached, an alarm occurs. The following screen appears:
ACCESS PRESSURE LOW!
Testing primary Return Air alarm.
Primary Return Air Alarm Test
The Spectra system uses two different detection circuits to sense air in
the return air chamber. This test checks the operation of the primary
circuit. When the primary detection circuit detects air in the return air
chamber, an alarm occurs. The following screen appears:
AIR IN RETURN CHAMBER!
Open access saline line.

Open the roller clamp on the access saline line.
Single-Needle ELP and LRS procedures: Open the pinch clamp
below the access manifold.

Press CONTINUE.
