Place the disposable tubing set package on the centrifuge cover.
Secure the package underneath the packaging hook on the front
panel (see Figure 4-2).

Remove the inlet line coil and remove the paper tapes.

Hang the access connection on the hook on the left side of the IV
pole. (The three lines attached to this connection are taped
together.)

Place the access saline line over the top of the system.

Dual-Needle procedures:
a
Remove the return line coil and remove the paper tapes.

Hang the return connection on the hook on the left side of the
IV pole. (The two lines attached to this connection are taped
together.)

Place the return saline line over the top of the system. Verify
that the needle connection is snug.
Single-Needle ELP, LRS, and LRST procedures: Remove the
Single-Needle bag and lay it over the top of the system.

Note: MNC and PMN procedures: You need a 600-mL
transfer bag to concurrently collect plasma unless you are
using a Functionally Closed WBC set.
Note: BMP procedures: ACD-A is not necessary to
perform this procedure. For more information about BMP
procedures, see Chapter 5 in the Cell Therapy Guide.
Tip: Single-Needle procedures: The Return Flow
Controller occupies space on the IV pole, so some bags such
as the AC and saline bags must share the front and back of
the same hook.
