If a "RETURN PRESSURE HIGH! Decrease return flow scale" alarm
occurs near the end of a Draw phase, and a "RETURN FLOW TOO
SLOW! Check return. Increase return flow scale." alarm occurs near the
end of the next Return phase, reduce the inlet pump flow rate. This
alarm can also occur if you do not completely turn the Return Flow
Controller clockwise during Prime mode.
These conflicting alarm messages can occur when the Single-Needle
pump flow rates are too high to support a specific combination of return
flow restrictions (Single-Needle, needle position, high return hematocrit,
high return pressure, or a restricted return path) and the 400 mm Hg
return pressure limit.
Note: If a "RETURN FLOW TOO SLOW!" alarm occurs, always
check for the possibility of an infiltration, a blockage at the
donor/patient connection site, or an improperly positioned return
pressure sensor transducer.

Alarm Clearing

If you cannot clear an alarm by following the instructions in this chapter,

continuing the procedure.
If the alarm occurs during Prime mode, follow these steps:
1
Press CHANGE MODE.
2
Press 1 to select "Load Set."
3
Select the correct disposable tubing set and reprime.
