Cleaning the front door sensor
Remove the dust from the front door sensor to avoid false
"CENTRIFUGE COVER OPEN" alarms.
Note: Perform this cleaning procedure on COBE Spectra
Apheresis Systems with serial numbers of ISO4223 and lower.
Systems with serial numbers of ISO4224 and higher use front
door sensors that are not affected by dust.
Refer to Figure 10-1.

Close the sliding centrifuge front door.

Find the front door sensor at the top edge of the lower front panel
where it meets the bottom edge of the front door (see Figure 10-1).

Slide a clean, dry gauze sponge between the sliding front door and
the lower front panel where the front door sensor is located.

Move the gauze sponge from side to side to remove any dust
buildup from the sensor assembly.
