6.3 Chromeleon Diagnostics Messages

If the TCC fails the gas sensor test, perform the instructions given here. If the TCC still
fails the test, contact Thermo Fisher Scientific Service for Dionex HPLC Products.
Test Result
Error, gas leak detected!
Error, gas leak sensor error!
Error, gas leak sensor not
ready!
Error, no gas leak detected.
Operating Instructions
TCC-3000SD and TCC-3000RS Column Compartments
Probable Cause
The gas sensor detected excessive
gas in the column chamber.
The gas sensor may be influenced
by the drain tubing from other
modules in the UltiMate 3000
system.
The gas sensor is defective.
The temperature set point has not
been reached. The thermal unit
may be defective.
During the test the gas sensor was
supposed to detect excessive gas
in the column chamber. The gas
sensor may be defective.
UltiMate 3000 Series:
Remedial Action
Eliminate the cause. Tighten
leaking connection and vent the
column chamber.
Verify that the drain tubing of the
TCC is connected as described in
the installation instructions
provided the system drain kit. As
an alternative, connect separate
drain tubing to both the TCC and
the system module stacked upon
the TCC.
Repeat the test.
