2.13 System Wellness, Predictive Performance, and Diagnostics

System Wellness monitors the health of the TCC. Therefore, the TCC supports several
performance and reliability features that can help you detect small problems before they
turn into big ones:
• Internal monitoring of all mechanical operations
• Automatic self test upon power up
• Gas and humidity sensors (→ page 22)
• Electronic column identification system (column ID; → page 24)
When an error is detected, the Status LED on the front panel door is red and a message
appears on the TCC display (→ page 88).
When the TCC is operated from Chromeleon, additional functions for estimating the lifetime
of consumables and monitoring and recording service and (re)qualification information
(= predictive performance; → page 82) are available. In addition, a diagnostics test is
available to check the gas sensor performance (→ page 83).
