Adjusting the Timing Belt Tension

The XC series robots use a timing belt for controlling the movement of the
Z and R axes. If the belt becomes slack, use the following procedure to give
proper tension to the belt.
WARNING
THE MOTOR AND SPEED REDUCTION GEAR CASING ARE EXTREMELY
HOT AFTER AUTOMATIC OPERATION, SO BURNS MAY OCCUR IF
THESE ARE TOUCHED. BEFORE TOUCHING THESE PARTS, TURN OFF
THE CONTROLLER, WAIT FOR A WHILE AND CHECK THAT THE
TEMPERATURE HAS COOLED.
WARNING
INJURY CAN OCCUR IF HANDS OR FINGERS ARE SQUEEZED BETWEEN
THE DRIVE PULLEY AND BELT. ALWAYS TURN OFF THE CONTROLLER
AND USE CAUTION WHEN HANDLING THESE PARTS.
CAUTION
SINCE A POSITIONAL SHIFT OCCURS AFTER ADJUSTING THE BELT
TENSION, IT IS NECESSARY TO MAKE ABSOLUTE RESET, STANDARD
COORDINATE SETTING AND POINT DATA SETTING AGAIN.
