BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The
memory
in which
the
parameters,
tool
corrections and
processing
programs are
stored
is
provided
with
a
backup batteiy so
data
are
not
lost
if
a power
failure occurs. The alarm "BAT" will be
displayed
on
the
NC
operator
panel screen when
the
battery
becomes
weak.
When this alarm is
displayed,
it will be
necessary to
replace
the battery
within one month.

existing battery is
removed with
the power OFF,
the stored data will be lost.
2. Since commercial batteries
cannot
be used as is,
always
consult
your
YASKAWA
representative
when
replacing
the
battery.
(REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE)
(1)
Depress
the POWER OFF switch.
(2)
When
equipped
with
a
door interlock switch
Open
the front
door and
pull
out
the moving
part
of the door interlock
switch
(There
is a
one-stage
snap action.)
Power can then
be
turned on
with the front door
open.
(3)
Open
the front door
sufficiently
so
the NC unit board mounted on the
inside of the door is visible.
Depending
on
the
model,
the NC unit
may
bemounted
on
the main
body
instead of
on
the door.

Switch
on
the
power.

Confirm that the LED
(red)
of the FC200 module lights. If this LED
is lit, it
indicates that the
battery "ERtiVS"
must
be replaced. The
layout
of the
LED and the
battery
is shown in
Fig. 4.2.1.
The
procedure up to now
is
to
confirm that the
battery
ER6V3
(with
lead
connector)
is defective.

Set POWER switch
to
OFF.
(7)
Remove the old
batteiy
from
the
connector
and take it
out
of the holder.

Place the
new battery
in the holder and insert the
connector.

connector
can be
inserted in
either
right or
left
direction.
