Advise the user to clean the area where the CCD stops in stream reading if the message

has appeared. A label indicating the points for stream reading (for small-size and large-size)

is attached to the rear of the copyboard glass.

If a jam has occurred, the machine will not execute dust detection at the end of a job. If

the ongoing job is cancelled, it will execute dust detection at the end of operation.

For the following, the machine can indicate the cleaning message in the ab-

sence of dust on the glass:

• The ADF feeding belt is appreciably soiled.

• CCD-ADJ/LUT-ADJ is not executed correctly.
