4.6.4 Using media retainers

There are 2 media retainers enclosed in-the-box. Please follow the procedure below to use them properly.
Power on the machine.
Step 1 :
Be sure that the media initialize is done correctly.
Step 2 :
Open the front cover.
Step 3 :
Install the media retainer (left, right) to both sides of the roll media. First attach the rear side of

the media retainer to the rear of the print platform.
Push the front side of the media retainer until it clicks.
Step 5 :
Move the media retainers over the edges of the media.
Step 6 :
Close the front cover and set automatic media cut OFF otherwise the knife will strike against the
Step 7 :
mediaretainers.
Carefully pull the media-retainer straight to you, and then lift it upwards when you want to remove them.
