Chapter 8
Managing the Cisco CRS System
Requirements to Migrate LDAP Information
the new LDAP directory. However, the new LDAP directory will need to be
updated with all other (telephone users, supervisors, and agents) login names and
passwords for CRS to be fully functional.
The possible LDAP directories between which you can migrate are DCD, ND, or
AD.
This section contains the following topics:

Migrating to a Different LDAP Directory, page 8-29
•
Adhere to these requirements if you migrate from one LDAP directory to another:
•
You must perform the Cisco CRS migration before you perform the Unified
CM migration.
If both directories are not available, you have the option to use the Backup
Tip
and Restore System (BARS) utility. Refer to the following website for
further information on the BARS utility:
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/backup/bars40/b
arsa408/index.htm.
Using the BARS utility is a longer process than the more straightforward
approach provided in the
page
8-26.
Do not make any changes (for example, upgrading from one version of CRS
•
to another version of CRS) to any aspect of the system configuration when
performing the LDAP migration—wait until Cisco CRS 4.x is fully
operational before making any configuration changes.
The new LDAP directory (to which you will be migrating) must already be
•
installed in the required server.
