Description of function
The motor converts braking energy of the load into heat.

Features of DC braking:
• No constant braking torque
• No braking torque at standstill
The converter activates the compound braking dependent on the DC link voltage. Above a DC
link voltage threshold value (r1282), the converter adds a DC current to the motor current.
The DC current brakes the motor and prevents the DC link voltage from increasing above a
critical value.
