Restore factory settings

Overview
The "Restore factory settings" function deletes the user-specific parameterization of the
converter, for example the motor data.
The following data remains in the converter:
• Communication interface settings
• Security settings including UMAC data
• Language setting
• Date and time
In the following cases it may be necessary to restore the converter to factory settings:
• Difference in topology when replacing a motor with/without DRIVE-CLiQ interface
• Uncertainty regarding the previous parameterization or the previous use of the converter
Requirement
Requirements:
• Before carrying out a reset, save the drive data in a backup file so that you can access the
settings again.
• Rights required for active user management (UMAC):
– "Edit device configuration or drive applications"
– If Safety Integrated is contained in the backup file, the "Edit Safety Integrated application"
Procedure
Proceed as follows to reset the drive settings to the factory settings:
1. Call the "Backup and restore" menu.
2. Press the "Restore factory settings" button.
3. Acknowledge the confirmation prompt.
4. The converter resets its drive settings to the factory settings.
