Working with InfraRGB

Interleaved Mode

The output timing will be derived and locked to 1 of the 2 inputs (as specified by the frame
lock option which can be either frame lock or frame lock secondary). For best performance
(no frame skips or repeats) in Interleaved or InfraScene modes the 2 inputs should be
synchronized together (gen-locked).
In Interleaved mode, 2 separate input sources are used. Similar to Simultaneous mode, both RGB
and IR LEDs are operated together. Control is provided to select the amount of time each LED is
powered On for.
1. Connect the video source for the main
input (RGB data).
2. Connect the video source for the
secondary input (IR data).
3. From the Main menu, select
InfraRGB.
4. Set the Main Input to the DVI on
which the source of visible data is
connected.
5. Set the Secondary Input to the DVI on which the source of IR data is connected.
6. Select Enable InfraRGB.
7. From the InfraRGB Source Sequence drop-down list, select Interleaved RGB (Main), IR
(Secondary). The system will then attempt to interleave the signals.
8. Select the lighting mode that is appropriate for your application using the Selected Lighting
Mode drop-down list. See
on page 42.
9. The controls on the InfraRGB Target & Adjustments menu can then be used to set the target IR
brightness and target IR weight. You can do this by adjusting the settings in the Manual IR
Power menu or by enabling IRLOC Mode. For details, see
page 43.
