Working with InfraRGB

Setup Source Sequence

InfraRGB can operate in the following 3 modes:
Simultaneous Mode: The RGB and IR signals are both taken from the main input.
InfraScene Mode: The RGB signal is taken from the main input and the IR signal is taken from
the secondary input.
Interleaved Mode: Both RGB and IR signals are taken from both inputs.

Simultaneous Mode

In Simultaneous mode, a single source of video data is used to generate both visible content and IR.
The IR LED is powered On during the visible frame, and control is provided to determine how much
the LED should be powered On for the red, green, and blue portions of the image. IRLOC can change
the IR drive levels, but cannot change the IR gain of the video inputs. This is because the RGB video
source is shared with ColorLOC, which takes precedence.
1. Connect the video source for the main input (RGB and IR data).
2. From the Main menu, select
InfraRGB.
3. Set the Main Input to the DVI on
which the source of visible data is
connected.
4. Select Enable InfraRGB.
5. From the InfraRGB Source
Sequence drop-down list, select
Simultaneous RGB + IR (Main).
6. Select the lighting mode appropriate for your application from the Selected Lighting Mode
drop-down list. See
page 42.
7. The controls on the InfraRGB Target & Adjustments menu can then be used to set the target IR
brightness and target IR weight. You can do this by adjusting the settings in the Manual IR
Power menu or by enabling IRLOC Mode. For details, see
page 43.
