10.2.4 Cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation table

Outer casing
Use a moistened disposable cloth with
neutral detergent or a chemical substance or
the like. Use water to remove any remaining
traces of chemical.
The operator may use disinfectants (e.g.
Buraton 10 F, diluted according to the
manufacturer's instructions or VPRO 60C°)
to clean the components.
Disinfectants based on the following
substances can cause damage:
Remove any dust from the surfaces or in
openings using a vacuum cleaner or a soft
cloth.

Dismantle and clean, then sterilize in an
(silicone tubes)
autoclave, disinfect with steam or chemically.
Check that there are no splits in the tubes
and replace them if they are damaged.

To avoid damaging the labels and outer surfaces of the
ventilator, use only the chemical substances listed.
The patient circuit can be sterilized by means of steam
but this can lead to early wear of the tubes. Yellowing
and reduced flexibility are side effects caused by
sterilization using steam.

Make sure that no sprays
or liquids penetrate inside
the equipment and the
connectors.
Do not use cloths or
sponges that could
scratch the surface.

Before using again,
eliminate any humidity

means of compressed air.
