5.10 Ventilation parameters setting area ( G )

According to the preferred mode of ventilation, the same
respiratory physiological parameter ( PRF ) can be a dependent
variable (i.e. variable as a result of changing other parameters) or
independent (i.e. quantity whose change is to change values of
other parameters).

The PRF can be adjusted also during lung ventilator operation,
adapting them to the patient clinical conditions.
The respiratory physiological parameters can be set manually in
STAND-BY before activating any operative mode.
The system allows to set the default respiratory physiological
parameters in (MAIN MENU – DEFAULT PARAMETERS) suitable
for the ventilation of an adult patient.
In the picture the displayed parameters are referred to the APCV-TV
operative mode and have the mere purpose of being an example
and they do not make any reference to real clinical cases.

Press and rotate the encoder to select the parameter to be
modified [ e.g. Vte ].
