Required connections
The system was developed in compliance with the ETSI Mesh Ground requirements. This
means EMC compliance and personnel safety can be achieved only if the system is
connected to a System-Reference Potential Plane (SRPP) at many places as described in
ETS 300 253 (see the figure below).
All peripheral equipment and its protective earth/ground must also be connected to the
SRPP by one or more fixed wires.

The EMC/ESD boundary is defined at subrack level. The principle is based on the

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A product.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference
when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates,
uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and must be installed and used in accordance
with this Installation and System Turn-Up Guide. In a domestic environment this product
may cause radio interference in which case the user may be required to take adequate
measures.
